Customer Service Policy

Timberbits is committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality products. We endeavour to make sure that all products listed on our website are currently in stock and pricing is true and correct. Standard delivery timeframes are between 1 - 3 business days; in the event that an ordered item is not available or we are unable to fulfill your order, we will notify you within 2 business days to arrange an agreeable alternative item, a backorder or a full refund.

Postage within Australia

Postage within Australia will normally be sent with Australian Air Express or Fastway Couriers unless the order contains items classified as Dangerous Goods. Orders containing Dangerous Goods will be sent with a courier service such as TNT.

Cost of postage will be determined by the weight of the parcel. During the checkout process, the website will automatically calculate the weight of the parcel. Parcels weighing less than 500 grams will cost $8, 500 grams to 3kg will cost $10 and 3kg to 5kg will cost $12. All parcels will be sent registered with tracking number. You can track your parcel on line with either Australian Air Express, Fastway Couriers or TNT.

International Postage

International postage will be sent by two ways.

Parcel under 2kg or under the value of $200USD will normally be sent via the country postal service (Australia Post, Singapore Post, New Zealand Post, USPS, Royal Mail, etc). Parcels sent this way will normally take between 6 to 15 working days. Please note it is working/business days, which does not include weekends and public holidays.

Parcels over the weight of 2kg or over the value of $200USD will normally be sent with TNT International Couriers. This will normally take 3 - 5 working days.

The parcels will be registered, but the registration number is not a tracking number where you can track it online. It is more of a historical record to say that the parcel has been signed for.

TNT International Couriers is a premium courier service that will normally deliver door to door within 5 working days. They cannot deliver to a PO Box address. This service is a fully track-able online service and you will be able to see exactly were in the postal service the parcel is at. If you specify and PO Box as an address, we will send it via the country postal service.

Cost of International shipping is again based on weight. During the checkout process the website will automatically calculate the weight of the parcel, then automatically sends our country code (Australia), the country code where the parcel is getting delivered to and the weight of the parcel to Australia Post to get a quote. This is the actual cost of postage - we only charge the quoted price from Australia Post. TNT couriers cost more than standard mail - but we will cover the difference in cost at no extra charge to you.

Flat Rate Shipping

We offer flat rate shipping rate to the US, UK and Canada. Flat rate shipping means that no matter how large your order, your shipping amount will be capped at this rate. The rate is currently $5AUD. We also offer $12AUD Flat Rate shipppng to a number of European and Asian countries. We are trying to increase the number of countries that we can offer flat rate shipping rates to, but the courier companies are reluctant to do so.

Import duties, taxes and charges

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – please do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.

When will my order be shipped?

Our service delivery cut off time is 12pm Sydney Time (+10GMT). All orders placed before this time will normally be sent out on the same working day. All orders placed after that will normally be shipped the following business day. However, due to the high volumes of orders, packages are not guaranteed to ship the same day, but will ship as soon as possible. Orders placed on the weekend will not be shipped until the following Monday.
