M3 Knife Scales - Black Lava range
These magnificent knife scales are available in 1.5x5x.1875. They are perfect for knife handles, gun grips, musical instrument inlays, pool cue inlays and many other creative applications. M3 can be cut by a CO2 Laser making inlays, custom branding and lettering both practical and affordable.
All M3 patterns are random, but the various grain patterns will all share similarities even over a large number of parts.
These scales are diamond sliced from precision sized M3 blocks to precise specifications allowing the faces of each scale to match as closely as possible. Only the best matches make it through our strict quality assurance inspections.
This video will give you an idea of what a finished "Bookmatched Set" should look like. M3 acheives a "Deep Mirror" finish with nothing more than a good "P" grade sandpaper and our 2 part Premium Metal Polish (PMP) in 10 easy steps. Sand 150, 180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, clean with 0000 Steel Wool and then polish with PMP part A and B. You know you have the best possible finish when you can't see any surface scratches with a 10x loop.
