I attended the sharpening course held over the weekend and we were really well looked after all weekend and I gained some life long skills and a new attitude towards keeping all my tools sharp. We covered plane blades, chisels, kitchen knives, wood turning tools eg, skews, gouges, parting tools and a few more that i probably forgot to mention. We even covered how to look after planes and basic restoration tips for old tools. I loved every minute of the course and i can't recommend the course highly enough and even escaped with no band aids from the newly sharpened tools. :)
Very enjoyable course with excellent instructors (Simon and Angus), terrific venue, machinery and tools. Highly recommended!
The pen making class held by David Lim was first class in all regards; instruction, oversight, facilities, tools and materials. An excellent introduction to pen making by an expert.
Whether you're looking for quality materials, tools or advice- cannot recommend Timberbits any higher. No purchase is too small, no question is too trivial- these guys go the extra mile to make customers feel valued and ensure their needs are met. The guys at Timberbits all have a generous willingness to share expert knowledge and skills which is so appreciated. Our son completed a woodturning course recently and it was an absolute highlight- not only did he learn so much and thoroughly enjoy himself, but made memories that he will treasure for many years to come. Highly recommend and hope they can open more branches (down South please! :D)
Had the pleasure being in the first pen making class ran by David together with Matthew. Great people, fantastic tools, the freedom to explore, and to experiment. Went home with some nice personal gifts for family members. Hoping to attend future classes. It was fun!
