Hamlet HCT206B Thread Chasers – 18 TPI

The Hamlet HCT206B Thread Chasers are designed for hand-cutting accurate, matching threads on woodturning projects such as lidded boxes, containers and urns.

Each set includes a matched pair:

• Male/external thread chaser: Cuts the thread on the outside of the workpiece.
• Female/internal thread chaser: Cuts the corresponding thread inside the workpiece.

The fine 18 TPI thread pitch produces detailed threads and is well suited to learning and refining traditional thread-chasing techniques. For best results, use dense, close-grained timbers capable of holding a clean, well-defined thread.

Recommended Companion Tool

When cutting internal threads, the Hamlet HCT208 Recessing Tool can be used to create a relief recess at the end of the threaded area. This provides clearance for the internal thread chaser at the end of each pass, helping produce cleaner and more controlled threads.
