The Irons Tool Gate addresses the common challenge of hollowing: unsupported tool length. Designed in collaboration with professional wood turner Phil Irons, it offers pivot functionality that ensures optimal tool support, even within the vessel's confines.

The gate effectively prevents tool slippage, so you can guide your tools with precision and fluidity for smoother, more accurate cuts. It's crafted to accommodate tools from 1/2" to 1", with six distinct gate positions to choose from, and its rotational feature allows precise positioning within the vessel for deeper hollowing while minimising the unsupported length of the tool. With the Tool Gate, forms up to 19" deep are achievable with the Pro-Forme range.

What you'll need:
A tool post with a 1/2" UNF male thread is required, sold separately. Select the tool post diameter to suit your lathe.
