Woodcut Tru-Grind Original Sharpening System

The Tru-Grind Original Sharpening System has been the go-to jig for sharpening woodturning tools for 25 years. Designed by Woodcut founder Ken Port with Jerry Glaser, the idea is simple: set the jig to a number and get the same accurate, repeatable grind every time.

The system pairs the Tru-Grind Tool Holder with the Original Base Slide. The single tool holder sharpens every woodturning tool without adaptors, taking mini tools up to 1-1/2" diameter: bowl gouges, spindle gouges, skews, scrapers, parting tools, spindle roughing gouges, ring tools and negative rake scrapers. It locks securely into place, so you repeat exact sharpening angles for each tool, which speeds up the process and saves tool length.

The Base Slide comes packaged for the right hand side of your grinding wheel and can be easily set up for left handed use, with clear instructions included. A cleaning magnet collects excess sharpening dust.

What you'll need:
A bench grinder. The Tru-Grind also works with wet grinders that use a 12mm support bar (Tormek, Jet, Scheppach, Triton, Grizzly) via the separate Wet Grinder Pivot Base.
